Workshop Location
WIRMS 2003 will be held at the Granlibakken Conference Center & Resort located on the North Shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe. Accommodations including all meals and use of recreational facilities (tennis courts, swimming pool, hot tub, par course, and nature trails) will be offered to workshop participants at a special workshop package price.

How to get there
Granlibakken is located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe with easy access from Reno (1 hour), Sacramento (2 hours) and the San Francisco Bay Area (3-4 hours). See the map to the left. Here is another map and directions, and a larger map showing SF & Tahoe. Take I-80 (East from the San Francisco area, or West from Reno) to Truckee, then take Highway 89 to Tahoe City. Bear right (following Hwy 89), go 1/2 mile then turn right onto Granlibakken Rd. If there is sufficient interest, we will arrange van or bus rides from the major airports (please note your interest on the Interested in a ride to WIRMS form).

Weather
Typical weather for July in Lake Tahoe is sunny, around 75-80^oF (25-27^oC) in the day and cool at night. The altitude is relatively high, 6200ft (1900m), so sunblock is a good idea if you spend much time outdoors.
