Far-IR at the ALS WorkshopThis workshop will explore the possibilities of establishing a synchrotron-based far-infrared (far-IR) program at the ALS. Topics include various methods for extracting far-IR from the storage ring and a number of far-IR research topics that could be enhanced by such a beamline. Members of the IR community will have the opportunity to discuss their needs and the potential scientific applications for a new far-IR synchrotron beamline. It will begin at 9am on Wed. Oct. 20th at an LBL conference room to be announced.
